Your Voice
A representative committee, consisting of students, parents, teachers, administrators, staff members as well as business and community leaders, continued to develop a new 5-year strategic plan for the Mesa Public Schools. Recently, they met to review nearly 10,000 comments generated by staff and members of the community as a result of data collection activities conducted across our district over the past several month. The review of data collected indicates prevailing trends of specific priorities, including:
- Learning and Achievement
- Relevant and High Quality Comprehensive Curriculum
- Safe, Healthy and Nurturing Learning Environments
- Students, Staff, Parents, and Community Members Working Together
- Optimal and Equitable Utilization of Resources
- Highly Qualified and Highly Effective Personnel
The committee has also drafted goals to address each of these priorities, again, using the information gained from several community gatherings. To view a summary of the goals for each priority area click HERE.
We would appreciate feedback from you on the initial goals that have been developed. Your anonymous comments will be shared with the members of the Strategic Planning Committee.
