Welcome to the Educational Services Assistant Principal's homepage. This is my fifth year overseeing registration and graduation at Westwood. We provide many services for Westwood's student body including new and continuing student registration, transcripts, student records and graduation.

Professionally, I completed by Bachelor’s Degree in 1993, at Arizona State University in Exercise Science and Physiology. I spent over 10 years in the field of sports medicine as an athletic trainer. During that time, I worked in an orthopedic office as assisted with several professional sports teams. This was a great job, but very time consuming, hours away from home and the position was not lucrative. As a result, I decided to go get my teaching certificate through the University of Phoenix. After student teaching, I had an “Ah ha” moment. I felt that this was my calling.

My teaching experience is all at the secondary school level. I have taught Biology, Sports Medicine and Anatomy and Physiology. Ten years later, I became interested in administration. Through a terrific mentor principal, I became the Instructional Specialist for my school. This included organizing and presenting various in-services to my faculty and staff. In 2003, I finished my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. In 2005, I gave up the athletic training and became an assistant principal here at Westwood.

On a personal note, I have been married for 3 years and have three children 8 & 6 years old and a “terrible two and a ½ ” year old. My husband and I enjoy camping, playing with our children and traveling.
