Readers Love Starts Book Club at Taylor Junior High
How can someone love reading so much? Well, this is the first year that Taylor has a Book Club! The group is planning a series of book talks so that anyone who might be interested in a particular story and who wrote it, might learn some information about the book. Other activities will include fund raisers centered around the love of reading as well as book group style reading activities. Students may even plan a scavenger hunt or two! Currently there are eight members in the organization.
The students are so excited about the new organization and welcome any and all new members. We meet in the Media Center on Tuesdays, right after school.
Knock Them Pins Down
Bowling club? Huh? Who bowls anymore? Well, to be totally honest, bowling is one of the fastest growing sports again in the United States! Taylor students are excited about starting this new club this year. Any level of bowling experience is welcome to attend! What the club intends is that everyone has fun. Once a week, the club will bowl. Fundraisers are being planned to help with the cost of the bowling, so the group would really appreciate the support. We currently have 15 members.
Everyone loves to bowl, whether they get a strike every time or need gutter guards so they can hit some pins! How about you? Come by Room 805 for an application. All are welcome. Bowling is on Wednesdays, 4:30 -5:30 PM, at the Brunswick Lanes here in Mesa.
