Biography

Welcome to my web pages.  This is my third year here at Stapley and I just love teaching 8th grade science here. I have also taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades at Lowell Elementary.  Prior to joining Mesa Public Schools I taught Head Start for Maricopa County at Jefferson Elementary.  I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary  Education through Ottawa University.  My masters is in Multicultural Education through Northern Arizona University.  My middle school science endorsement is through Arizona State University.    I have twins, a son and daughter, who just turned 20.  My spare time is spent enjoying the great Arizona outdoors.  I love to cycle, hike and kayak.  I also enjoy traveling and have visited Costa Rica, Bolivia and Peru along with traveling the United States and Canada.   This summer I hiked to Uhuru Peak, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania and also went on safari in Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater.  What an experience!
