French 1

My French 1 classes adhere to the district and national standards for world language acquisition.  French I is a high school level course and the resulting grade will affect students' high school GPAs, as well as satisfying one year of the foreign language requirement.  The course includes: conversational, listening, speaking, writing and reading comprehension skills; cultures of the French-speaking world; assessment for all spheres of language acquisition; preparation for the district final exam; and preparation for French II.

Most of all, I strive to give my students an appreciation of French and a desire to continue learning it in future years!
