I come from a family of teachers and administrators and grew up in Illinois and Florida.  I received my original B.A. in English from the University of Florida in 1976.

My previous jobs have included everything from lifeguard to law student.

However, my best pre-teaching "job" was as a stay-at-home mom for twenty years.  My children attended Mesa Public Schools.  My husband of thirty years is a journalist.  We live just a mile away from Stapley.

I love to read (especially history, mysteries and Celtic lore), spend time with my family and watch college football (Go, Gators!),  tennis and golf on TV.  I adore dogs, and I love languages and literature, of course. 

Right now I am in my dream job of teaching Spanish and French to my wonderful students here at Stapley!
