Biography

Welcome to another school year! I am excited to have your student in my class. This is my fourth year as a Sabercat, and boy does time go by quickly. Stapley is an awesome school with wonderful administration and staff and I know your student’s time here at Stapley will be a great experience!

Here is a quick background of myself: I come from a family history of teachers, including my mother who taught the MOMD program at Westwood and then here at Stapley when it first opened. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor degree in both Special Education and Elementary Education, and am now working on my masters through Northern Arizona University.

Besides teaching I have also worked for the City of Mesa for about ten years now in the Adaptive Recreation Program. I currently coach Special Olympics Floor Hockey and Special Olympics Gymnastics. I have been able to make so many wonderful memories and friends through being a part of the Special Olympics. If you are ever interested in getting your student involved, please ask and I can guide you in the right direction. Throughout the year I will be sending home sports registration packets for the different seasons, so keep your eyes open for these.
