Biography
Quentin “Reed” Webb was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. This will be my second year teaching full time at Stapley Junior High School. I have previously taught as a long-term substitute in both math at Kino Jr. High and science at Stapley Jr. High. I received an AZ Career and Technology Education (CTE) certification in 2007 in the Electronics and Engineering disciplines. I will be teaching Business/Computer Essentials during this 2009-2010 academic year.
I graduated from The Citadel (the Military College of South Carolina) with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. I have two Masters Degrees (in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Administration) from the University of Missouri at Rolla. I served 20 years in the US Army, where I was a paratrooper in the Infantry, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1982. We lived in Panama during the Canal Zone transfer, where I learned Spanish in the military’s language classes. Following that military career, I worked another 20 years primarily for McDonnell Douglas - then subsequently for Boeing and Fairchild Dornier - as an electrical engineer/project manager on various avionic design/development programs and FAA/JAA commercial aircraft flight test and certifications, retiring in 2002.
I respect and appreciate each student and will help them achieve their high goals. If you need to contact me , you can e-mail me at qrwebb@mpsaz.org or call me at 480-472-2736. I promise to respond promptly.
