Advanced Mixed Chorus (MU12)

The Syncopated Sabercats is the advanced mixed chorus at Stapley Junior High.  This 40-50 voice chorus of eighth and ninth graders meets daily for 55 minutes and studies scales, triads, intervals, sight-reading, melodic dictation, and many styles of music from Renaissance to Contemporary.  The advanced chorus has consistently received Superior Ratings at the Arizona ACDA Festivals since Stapley opened in 1993.  The students also participate in the High School State Solo and Ensemble as well as the High School Regional Choir Auditions.  They perform four to five evening concerts each year and also present daytime school assemblies.
