Guidelines
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Welcome to Introduction to art. I would like to take this opportunity to review my classroom guidelines so that this will be a rewarding school year for all of us as you begin your junior high school career.
Expectations
- Respect yourself, other students, teachers, and administrators.
- Complete all class work and homework.
- Be in your seat, quiet and listening for directions when class begins.
- Clean up work area before class ends.
- Gum, candy, food, and other materials in mouth are not permitted.
- Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.
Homework Policy:
Introduction to art consist mainly of class work. Rarely is homework assigned.
Make-up work:
When you are absent it is important to check with the teacher to see what you missed. Students may need to take work home to get caught up with the class.
Testing:
Test grades will be given each reporting period. This will either be a written exam or a project grade. Students will be given plenty of notice before assignments are due.
Grading criteria:
1. Effort put forth
2. Quality of work turned in
3. Following teacher directions
4. Neatness
5. Turning in your work in a timely manner
50%=class assignment
50%=class participation
A = 90-100
B = 80-89
C = 70-79
D = 60-69
F = 59 or below
