Biography
I have been an Arizona educator for 14 years. I received my Bachelor's degree in Spanish and in English from Arizona State University, my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University, and completed my certification in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Some of my interests are traveling, reading, crafts, cooking, culture, service learning, hiking, and as of this summer tennis. Two summers ago I traveled to Europe (France, Italy, and Greece) with some of the students and teachers from Stapley. I had a great time and made some wonderful friends. Although Europe was beautiful, I absolutely love traveling through the southwest. This past summer I traveled for the first time to Utah where I visited Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. I had a great time hiking and looking at all of the beautiful rock formations.
My goal as a Spanish teacher is to teach for mastery in an environment that fosters high expectations, academic excellence, and cultural awareness. As always, if parents or students have questions or comments, please feel free to visit with me either by phone, email or in person.
