Advanced Band

The Advanced Band consists of 9th grade students who have been playing their instruments since 6th grade and 8th graders who are proficient enough on their instruments to be placed in an advanced ensemble.

Students in the Advanced Band learn about basic music theory, advanced ensemble techniques and performing techniques, and continue learning about playing techniques specific for their instruments. Another purpose for the Advanced Band is to best prepare students for their continuation into music at the high school level.
