Library Hours:
* Open Daily: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
* No pass needed before or after school.
* Passes needed to visit the library during the school day.
* Lunchtime passes are available before school from Mrs. Rasmussen and Ms. Papp.
Checkout Policy:
* Students MUST have their student ID to check out books. Students may check out 2 items for up to 2 weeks. Most books are due every two weeks. Magazines and encyclopedias are available for a 1 day check out period only. Most reference materials can only be checked out overnight. All materials are available for renewal for as long as the student needs, with one exception: if the item is on hold for another student, items may only be renewed once.
Overdue / Late Items:
* Students with overdue materials may not check out items from the library until the overdue item is returned, renewed, or, if lost or damaged, paid for.
* If a student has lost a book, he/she must pay for the debt in the Bookstore and bring the receipt to the Library.
Internet Use:
* Computer use is a privilege, not a right. Student access to the network and the Internet is provided for educational purposes and research consistent with the school’s instructional goals.
* Do use the Internet to help with school assigned research ONLY.
* Do report any inappropriate ads or information that might appear on your screen.
* Do ask Mrs. Rasmussen or Ms. Papp to recommend web sites for research.
* Do save your work either to a disk or a flash (thumb, jump) drive. Items saved to the desktop are erased each afternoon.
Making Copies:
* Plan appropriately when using the computers; only the first 3 pages are free. Otherwise, each page costs 10 cents.
* Located in the library is also a coin-operated copy machine. Copies are 10 cents each for letter size paper (8 x 11)
SLAC'rs
Join the Stapley Library Advisory Club (SLAC'rs)! We meet every other Tuesday morning at 8:15 in the Media Center. We talk about books, make suggestions for acquisitions, prepare celebrations and contests and meet great authors!
