Stapley Booster Club Update
Hello Stapley Parents. School is in full swing and the Booster Club is hard
at work on this years fund raisers and activities. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Please read about the exciting things going on at Stapley and see where you
can volunteer. All the help we can get is SO appreciated.
Smart Boards
The Booster Club goal this year is to support increased classroom technology
at Stapley. To that end, we recently donated $10,000 from the Booster Club
to supplement the school's capital fund so that Smart Boards, computers and
projectors can be placed in every math and science classroom at Stapley.
Please support this goal my making a donation to the Booster Club so that we
can continue to help fund these projects.
Have you made your Booster Club donation yet?
The Booster Club does not get any funding from ECA funds and we try not to
overwhelm families with fundraising projects. We need donations directly
from parents. Please consider mailing in a check for $10, $20 or more.
Make checks payable to Stapley Booster Club and mail them to Stapley Jr.

Scare Fair
We are looking for volunteers to help with the Scare Fair for Stapley on
Friday, October 24 from 6-9 pm. This is a great night for the Stapley
students to have fun and a great way for the student clubs to earn money.
The following committees still need volunteers:
Tickets Decorations Prizes Fundraising Advertisement
Clean-up
Booths (no set up or thinking of ideas required...just coordinate the clubs)

Ocean Blue Fundraiser
We are continuing to sell fundraising cards for Ocean Blue, the new healthy
yogurt shop on Greenfield and Brown. You get $20 worth of yogurt and the
booster club earns $10 from each card. Buy them in the office or at a
football game for $20. Just a reminder if you've already purchased an Ocean
Blue card. they expire on January 31, 2009.
Stapley Spirit Shirts
Every Wednesday is spirit day at school and the homeroom that has the most
students wearing Stapley colors gets a prize. We are selling both men's and
women's style t-shirts in the office for $12.
Football Concessions
Thank you to those of you who have donated food items for us to sell at
football games, please keep them coming! This is one of our best
fundraisers. We will also be selling Stapley Spirit t-shirts and our new
Ocean Blue cards at the games.
Trader Joe's
A big thank you to our sponsor Trader Joe's for donations for several school
events including football concessions and the 7th Grade Pool Party. Shop at
Trader Joe's!
Basha's Shop & Give
Do you have a Bashas Card? If you do, next time you are at Basha's ask them
to link your Thank You card to Stapley Boosters I.D. number (below). You
only have to link it once and then the link remains active through March 31,
2009. Unfortunatley, you have to re-link your card every year. Then every
time you scan your Thank You card, Basha's donates a portion of your sale to
Stapley Booster, up to $5,000 this year (up from last year). THANK YOU
Basha's! Our group I.D. number is 26915.
General Mills Box Tops
Send in your General Mills boxtops to your student's homeroom teacher.
These are redeemed for cash for the school!!
Lunchtime Spirit Activities
Keeley Griner is organzing lunchtime activities for the school this year.
Students will be competing by homerooms throughout the year. She needs the
following donations: water balloons, buckets, old towels, paper towels,
clorox wipes, plastic throw away table cloths, 30 pumpkins, 100 rolls of
toilet paper, hula hoops and trash bags. She also looking for prizes to
give the winning classes, like gift certificates or items that junior high
kids would like. She needs 30 prizes almost every week. If you can donate
anything, drop it off or send it to the office attn: Ms. Griner.
Sonic Night
We all love Sonic Night! A chance not to cook AND support our Booster Club.
This year Sonic on McKellips just west of Lindsay is donating 10% of ALL
sales to the Stapley Booster Club. You don't even have to remind them, it
just happens when you go on the following nights: Oct 8, Nov 12, Dec 10,
Jan 14, Feb 11, Mar 11, April 8, and May 13. That is the SECOND WEDNESDAY
of every month. To sign up for a reminder email the day before, click on

A BIG THANK YOU to Trader Joes and Golden Spoon for sponsoring our 7th grade pool party. It was a huge success and a great time for all who attended.
Thanks also to the parents who chaperoned: Sherry Petrelli, Sheila Biggs,
Terry Huff, Tina Challinor, Robin McRae, Nettie and Steve Horvath, Pam
Ketchen and our Stapley teachers Ann Leroy, Chris Coleman, Charlene DArst,
Ellen White, Colleen Breazeale, Shelly Riccolo, Snady Forthen, & Corey
Miller and Mrs. White. Also thanks to our student council for doing a
fantastic job with the music, contests and raffle prizes.
Parents we also THANK YOU for all your hard work, donations and time.
Booster Club could not do all the things it does without your help.
Just a couple more things
Because we have committed to many of you not to overload the email to you,
this email is only going out once a month. Many of you have asked for more
frequent reminders of what is going on. So, we have started a reminder
email list. By adding your name to this list, you can receive email
reminders about Booster Club events (like Sonic Night, Scare Fair, Etc).
We'll send these reminders out a day or two before the event. So if you are
interested, please click on the email link below and put "reminder list" in
the subject line.
