| The Mesa Public Schools Social Studies program is an integrated study of American history, world history, civics/government, geography, and economics. It is designed to facilitate the development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that enhance the ability of our students to function effectively in a changing global world. Students must aquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to make responsible decisions affecting themselves and others. They must be informed, possess the skills to apply that knowledge, and develop a commitment to be actively involved in the learning and participatory processes of our society now and in the future. |
