My name is Jennifer Ewald and I teach Freshman English and Freshman AA at Shepherd Jr. High.  My goal is for each child to succeed, and I believe that hard work and a positive attitude are the key components for a successful education.  I have a passion for reading and writing, and I enjoy sharing my love for literature and written language with my students.

This is my 8th year of teaching English at the junior high level.  I have been teaching at Shepherd Jr. High for four years, and I have been the English department chair for two years.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Western Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University.  I earned my ESL endorsement in 2006.

Some of my favorite books include Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, The Watsons Go to Birmingham 1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis, and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.  I also enjoy writing poetry and reading books with my two children.
