Biography

My name is Cindy Bolyard and this is my first year teaching dance at Shepherd Junior High. I was born in the great state of Michigan (Go Wolverines!) and raised in Mesa. I attended Emerson Elementary, Carson Junior High, and Westwood High. I received a BA in Spanish from ASU and my teaching certificate from Rio Salado College.  I have also received an SEI endorsement from Mesa Public Schools.
 

I have been dancing for about 20 years (including six years as a gymnast) and am currently a member of Off Center Dance Company.  Before becoming a teacher, I was a volunteer choreographer for six years at both Carson and Westwood. I began teaching in August of 2004 at Carson.  Dance is my passion and I love teaching others how to dance and perform. In my opinion, I have the best job in the world!
