Mesa Public Schools and Maricopa County offer free and tuition-based preschools for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds. Special Education and Early Head Start programs offer additional resources for infants and toddlers.

Prekindergarten
Children acquire a wide variety
of developmental and educational skills, in group and individual

Family Tree
In this family literacy program,
parents and their children attend school together. The youngsters go to
preschool. The grown-ups attend parent education, General Education
Development (GED) and English classes. The program is free for families

This program

Special Education Preschool Services
Children identified
with special needs may qualify for free preschool classes. A screening
and evaluation are available for children as young as 2½ to check for
