Welcome to RMRE
Our mission at RMRE is Everyone Learning, Every Day. While we always work to increase student achievement scores, we also work together to provide our students with a daily educational experience that reaches beyond the academics.
We are proud of our academic excellence:
RMRE earned the label Excelling for 2006 - 2007 and 2008 - 2009
Seven RMRE students were published in the 2008 - 2009 MPS Voices, an annual writing competition open to the entire district
Two RMRE teachers, Mrs. Anne Bell and Ms. Cindy Crowther, earned publication in the 2008 - 2009 MPS Voices, an annual writing competition open to all MPS teachers
Under the coaching/teaching of Mrs. Debbie Jacobs, the RMRE 6th grade math team took 6th place in the 2008 - 2009 MPS Math Competition
We enjoy fine arts distinction:
Under the direction of Mrs. Cathy Nichols, five RMRE students performed with the 2008 - 2009 Mesa Youth Orchestra
We develop student community leaders:
Under the leadership of the student council and Mrs. Zimmerman, our students collected thousands of pop tops for sick children, raised money for the Heart Association by jumping rope, and collected toys and clothing for needy Mesa families
We enjoy consistent family involvement:
Thanks to the PTC and teachers our families enjoyed Family Math Night, Back to School Bash, Munchies with Mom, Family Movie Nights, Saturday Party on the Playground, Donuts with Dads, Family Astronomy Night, and Family Valentines Dance
We have exceptional parent participation in curriulum nights and conferences
We offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities for students:
Battle of the Books, Band, Orchestra, Morning News, Student Council, Math Challengers, Art Masterpiece, Field Trips, Plays, Talent Show, Readers of the Month, Author Visits, Math Team, Accelerated Reader, Spirit Days, Spelling Bee, Walking Club, Writing Club
What are people saying about RMRE?
Over the last five years, 94% - 98% of our parents gave RMRE A’s and B’s
Every year the fifth grade students are surveyed by the district and every year they repeatedly write that they love the RMRE teachers
33% of fifth graders rated RMRE A+, 39% rated RMRE A
With our dedicated, caring and talented teachers, positive parental involvement, excellent assistance from support staff and Mesa Public Schools, comprehensive programs, and students eager to learn and grow, we have an outstanding school! I am honored to be a part of it.
