Welcome to RMRE
Our mission at RMRE is Everyone Learning, Every Day. While we always work to increase student achievement scores, we also work together to provide our students with a daily educational experience that reaches beyond the academics. A few of our recent accomplishments include:
- Our school earned the label Excelling for 2007 - 2008.
- Under the direction of Mrs. Cathy Nichols, seven RMRE orchestra students performed at Mesa Arts Center in April 2008.
- Steve Schiro, ELP teacher, sponsored the first ELP Project Fair Day in May 2008.
- Mrs. Connie Donkersley, media specialist, again coached the RMRE Battle of the Books team to victory. The team took second place in the District Finals Competition.
- Over the last five years, 94% - 98% of our parents gave RMRE A’s and B’s.
- Under the leadership of John Warner and Gretchen Rodeffer, our Student Council demonstrated leadership by engaging the entire school in community service by collecting and donating toys to the East Valley Crisis Center and collecting 144 pounds of pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.
- Thanks to John Warner, parent Michi Tremonte, and many parent volunteers, our students can participate in Math Blasters during lunch.
- Thanks to the PTC our families enjoyed Munchies with Mom, Family Movie Nights, Saturday Party on the Playground, Donuts with Dads, Family Astronomy Night, and Family Valentines Dance.
- Under the guidance of Steve Schiro students wrote and published a monthly student newsletter The RMRE TIMES.
- Every year the fifth grade students are surveyed by the district and every year they repeatedly write that they love the RMRE teachers.
With our positive parental involvement, dedicated and talented teachers, excellent assistance from support staff and Mesa Public Schools, comprehensive programs, and students eager to learn and grow, we have an outstanding school! I am proud to be a part of it.
