bblogo Best Buddies Arizona is part of the Best Buddies  International non-profit organization, and together our mission is to enhance the lives of students with intellectual disabilities by providing one-to-one friendships.

Red Mountain High School Best Buddies is full of dedicated students who have worked hard and dedicate themselves to best buddies.  This organization has been recognized several times by best buddies international and by  red mountain high school as an outstanding organization.

Some of the awards that our organization has received over the past 9 years are:

  • "the outstanding award" from best buddies international (5 times)

  • the "Outstanding club of the year" (2 times) and "the service club of the year" award from red mountain high school!  

  • this year we are looking forward to continuing  the tradition of being an outstanding chapter!

Becoming a Member

This year's officers are:

Sam Sanders - President: The Role of the Presidentis to organize, lead and mantain the chapter of which they are presiding over. They must attend Leadership Conference for training and work to fulfill the mission of Best Buddies on their school campus.  

Buddy Director: The Role of the Buddy Director, is to be president and representative over the "Buddies" (the students with intellectual disabilities).  The Buddy Director works with the President and Special Education Advisor to ensure full participation of the buddies and helps manage the chapter and any events that the chapter puts on.

Christa Anderson - Vice President: The Role of the Vice President is to plan, supervise, and evaluate all chapter activities assist the President  as necessary with various tasks!
