Biography

Allow me to “step forward” and introduce myself.  My name is Amy Hamilton and I love teaching.   Before you “step in” to

C-2, I wanted you to know a little bit about me.

      Although I am a fifth generation Arizona native, my parents live in El Centro, California where we have lived since I was ten years old.  After graduating from college, I returned home to Arizona to teach.  My sister and two brothers also returned with their families.  It’s wonderful to have family so close. 

      I have been teaching for 13 years and have loved it every “step of the way.” I have a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young Universtiy, and a Master's Degree from Northern Arizona Universtiy. I hold  ESL and Early Childhood endorsements. This year I was honored to be chosen as a Rodel Exemplary Teacher for 2009. 

     I am excited to be here at Redbird and have the opportunity help your child take some important “first steps.” I extend an invitation for you to “step in” and visit our classroom--feel free to ask questions as they arise.
