Parent Pledge:parent

We, the parents of Porter Elementary School, will strive to:

  • Do our best to start our children’s school day with a warm greeting, healthy breakfast and homework checked.
  • Encourage and acknowledge our children’s accomplishments, guide them when they need redirection and accept our children for who they are.
  • Emphasize the importance of respect to themselves and others.
  • Teach our children to be responsible for their work and behavior at home and school.
  • Provide a loving, supportive, healthy, and safe environment.

By doing so, our children will:

  • See each day as a new day and want to do their best to be successful.
  • Know that we are supportive parents and accept their strengths and weaknesses no matter what.
  • Accept and understand those around them regardless of their race beliefs, or challenges.
  • Continue to grow academically and socially at both home and school.
