Bio:

Ms. Price is proud to belong to two Native American cultures, Hopi and Dine. She is of the Qalwungwa (Sunforehead) clan, born for the Tsenahabilnii (Sleep-Rock People clan). She holds both Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Arizona State University.  She has worked with Mesa Public Schools as a fifth grade teacher, media specialist and currently the NAEP program director. She has been with the district for over 29 years.  She enjoys working with students, parents, and the communities of Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and the urban area.

Reading good books, traveling, enjoy time with grandchildren and being with family.

Theresa has served on the Arizona Minority Education Policy Analysis Center Board in Phoenix and Mesa United Way Native American Ready to Learn Committee. She is currently serving on Mesa Community College and Maricopa Community College District Native American Advisory Boards, Jr. ACE planning committee, City of Mesa Police Department Community forums and is currently the Vice President of the Arizona Indian Education Association.
