Office (Top)
Our office hours are from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. daily. If you have a question or concern please feel free to contact us at 472-5600 so that we can address it in a timely manner. Teachers are on duty starting at 7:30 a.m.
Attendance (Top)
If your child is going to be absent from school, please notify the office as early as possible at 472-5550. Our voice mail is on 24 hours per day so you may call any time and leave a message. When calling please provide the student's name, grade, teacher's name, and the reason for the absence. Student attendance is critical to our mission of being able to teach them the skills they will need to be successful in school and successful in life. Every family should make an effort to make sure their students attend school. Students should be prepared to learn with their homework and class materials.
Health Office (Top)
The health office is available to assist students with illness and injury related problems. We conduct health screenings and act as health education resources for students and staff. The goal of Health services is to remove barriers to the health and safety of students, enabling them to achieve thier academic goals at school.
Visitors and Volunteers (Top)
All visitors must check in at the office before entering any area of the campus during school hours. Visitors to campus will be asked to sign in and given a visitor's badge to enter campus. This badge should be worn in a visible area and visitors should expect staff to to stop them if the badge is not readily visible. When volunteering for any activity at school, please check in at the office and sign in our volunteer "guest book". If parents have homework, lunch or lunch money, please drop these items off at the front office and we will deliver them. We try to avoid interruptions of the learning environment.
Uniforms (Top)
Students are expected to be uniform each day when they arrive at school. All students wear a navy blue, collared shirt. No logos are allowed on the tops. Students may wear shorts, pants, skirts, and skorts that are khaki colored. Shoes should be school appropriate and able to protect the feet. Spirit Days are on Fridays and school shirts may be worn in place of uniform tops. These can be from band, orchestra, student council, MacRo, or math facts.
Breakfast (Top)
Breakfast is served daily in the classroom to make sure every student will have the energy to focus and learn. Breakfast begins at 7:40 when the first bell rings.
Phone and E-Mail System (Top)
All staff has voicemail that is available 24 hours a day. If you need your child to have a message that requires them to go home in a different way, please contact the office so that we can be sure your child gets the message before they leave. If you wish to speak to a staff member, please contact them directly through their phone message system. If you call during the school day, you will only be able to leave a message and the teacher will call you back. We try to limit interruptions to classroom instruction. E-mail is also a good method for school-home communication. Please visit the Staff Page for email links to your child's teacher.

ECA Tax Credit (Top)

If you would like to donate funds to Holmes extra-curricular acivities for students, please ask for a form or visit www.mpsaz.org. The dollar for dollar tax credit of up to $400 for taxpayers filing jointly or $200 for single filing taxpayers will make more extra-curricular activites available to more students. Donations must be received by December 31st in order to be eligible fo the tax credit this calendar year. To make a donation and get your receipt please make out a check payable to Mesa Public Schools and designate Holmes school and the activity.
