Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP)

The MPS Guidance and Counseling Department encourages all our elementary and secondary counseling departments to seek RAMP designation.   Based on the ASCA National Model: A Framework for School Counseling Programs, the RAMP designation:

  • Gives you the confidence that your program aligns with a nationally accepted and recognized model
  • Helps you evaluate your program and identify areas for improvement
  • Increases your skills and knowledge of school counseling
  • Enhances your program’s efforts toward academic achievement and student success
  • Identifies your school as an exemplary educational environment

RAMP Technical Support

As we encourage all our school counseling departments to seek RAMP designation, we offer extensive technical support for those schools wishing to apply.  Please use the related pages (left) get additional information about each of the components of the RAMP application.

RAMP applications are due Feb. 1 of each year.
