Goals and Objectives - School
To (1) assist in promoting a school climate that reflects the feelings of support, empathy, and inclusiveness, (2) research and implement resources, techniques and strategies designed to enable and empower the school community in a collaborative effort to providea safe learning environment, (3) help to establish school and community partnerships that      collectively work to carry out the Mission of the Mesa School District, (4) promote adherence to the Mesa Schools Harassment policy, and (5) host or facilitate diversity training opportunities for school district employees.

MPS Professional Development - Diversity Training
To (1) develop and facilitate diversity training for Certificated Staff, (2) attend workshops, seminars and conferences that focus on diversity and diversity related topics, (3) collaboratively work with professional diversity consultants, educators and researchers, (4) network with school districts, colleges and the university as  a means of locating and identifying additional diversity awareness training strategies, and (5) host a series of inservices for the MPS (certificated  personnel) that address diversity issues in education.
