A little about me:

Welcome to 9th Grade English here at Fremont Junior High! My name is Troy Emenecker and this is my first year at the school and first full year as a teacher. I was born in Arizona and have lived here my entire life. I attended high school in Apache Junction, then earned a degree in Journalism at Arizona State University. After working for the East Valley Tribune as a business reporter, I returned to school, earning a secondary teaching certificate through Rio Salado College. I spent the spring 2007 semester as a student teacher and substitute at Dobson High School in Mesa, so it's nice remaining in the district for another year.

Outside of the classroom, I'm an avid runner. I hope to eventually get involved with the Fremont cross country and track programs. I also enjoy a variety of sports, which my kids will discover the first time they walk into my classroom, and music, which I plan to incorporate into the classroom environment.

I'm excited about the new school year! This will be a year of many firsts for your child as well as for me, and I think we both will enjoy the experience.
