Biography
I am in my 26th year of teaching orchestra, and I LOVE the students at Fremont!
I grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where I learned to play the violin at age seven, with some help from my older brother, Joe Young, who performs with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Growing up, I played in the Oklahoma Junior Symphony, and the Oklahoma All-State Orchestra all four years of high school. I have performed with professional symphonies in Knoxville, Tennessee, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Pensacola, Florida, Oklahoma City, Tempe and Mesa. For fun I like to spend time with her family, (especially my grandson, Ethan), play in string quartets, go on walks, swim, and travel.
