Because I learned to love the desert, I moved from Memphis, TN to Phoenix six years ago. I am delighted to be teaching Early Childhood Special Education in Mesa for my fifth year. Preschool is a positive and creative place where learning creates a fresh "spark" in the children each and every day.
I began teaching 20 years ago after graduating from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. I continued my training at the University of Memphis with a master's degree in Special Education and Preschool.
Because all teachers know that education never ends, I continue to seek to improve my teaching practice and learn new instructional strategies that will help my students reach their potential. In November 2008, I achieved certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
It is my privilege to work with your child and I look forward to working with you!
