We Value Parent Involvement and Support
All of our employees are here to serve the young people of Mesa — to teach or to support learning, to make a difference, and to be a significant someone in the life of each student. There are many ways you can make a difference, too:
Volunteer: Parents may sign up at their children’s schools.
Visit: Call ahead to request a school tour. Attend back-to-school nights, open house, parent-teacher conferences, concerts, curriculum demonstration nights, reading celebrations and other special events.
Work for MPS: Our Human Resources Department has information on a variety of part-time and full-time jobs. Please give some thought to joining our team of top-notch employees.
Register for classes: Parent University is for everyone who cares about kids — from tots to teens. Workshops focus on student achievement, child development, discipline, stress management, healthy family relationships and much more.
Write yourself a lower tax bill: Between now and December 31, you can determine how part of your state income tax is spent by making an extracurricular activity donation. Dollar-for-dollar tax credits are available.
