Mesa Public Schools has a plan to help you save money on gasoline, decrease traffic congestion and reduce air pollution. The Trip Reduction program is a Maricopa County mandate.
Companies and campuses must participate if they have 50 or more staff members and/or driving-age students reporting to one site at least three days a week, six months a year.
The goal is to reduce single-occupant-vehicle trips and/or miles traveled to work or school. Alternatives include carpooling, taking the bus, riding a bike and walking.
For more information, call Zach Lisonbee, the district's trip reduction program coordinator, (480) 472-0223.
