Welcome to the Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies... home of the Knights!  It is an honor and privilege to be the Team Leader, and International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator for our school. We believe that through rigor and challenge in the classroom, students will become critical thinkers and life-long learners who make a positive impact on the world and its people.  Our mission shares the philosophy of the IB as we seek to offer students the best that education has to offer!  I thank you for your support, and your help in making this belief a reality!

Aside from my administrative responsibilities on campus, I teach one section of mathematics.  In fact, I am going on my ninth year as a mathematics teacher for Mesa Public Schools.  This year will also find me taking on my eighth season as a National Academic League (NAL) coach and my second year as the yearbook's (the Shield) adviser.  I have had a fantastic career with MPS and look to have many more exciting years with the state’s leading district.

I bring energy into the school in hopes that students not only enjoy learning but that they also gain an appreciation for education and a deeper understanding of the world in which we live.
